Breaking news:Taylor Swift Assigned a Double Album

Taylor Swift accepted her 13th Grammy in a way only she would — by announcing her next Grammy winner, The Tortured Poets Department. Her 11th album (which is now a double album) is now out, and so far, we’re learning a lot about her relationships with Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy. Swift leaned into being a professor (she does have a doctorate) with her first lesson: teaching Swifties all about the five stages of heartbreak and grief that surrounded the album announcement.

After teasing the No. 2 and 2 a.m. around the album, Swift dropped “the Anthology” edition of The Tortured Department, featuring 15 more songs (including the four bonus tracks). “I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs,” Swift posted on X. “And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours.” The new additions build on the breakup themes of the original album, with songs like “Imgonnagetyouback” and “How Did It End?” Fans’ eyes quickly noticed “thanK you aIMee,” a seeming response to her feud with Kim Kardashian disguised as a kiss-off to a school bully. (That one’s for the lesson on allegory.) The final song, “The Manuscript,” uses the film imagery Swift often gravitates toward. Could it be a clue to her movie project?
