According to a report by Newsweek on Thursday, July 4, 2024, Barron Trump made a rare public appearance alongside his father, former President Donald Trump.

The two were seen spending time together on a golf course, and the moment was captured on video and shared widely on social media.

Barron, the youngest of Donald Trump’s children and the only child from his marriage to Melania Trump, has typically maintained a low profile.

However, at 18 years old, he was recently captured on camera sitting quietly in the passenger seat as his father drove a golf cart.

The video quickly gained traction, not just because of Barron’s presence, but due to the content of Donald Trump’s remarks.

The presumptive Republican nominee was filmed discussing his recent debate with President Joe Biden, which took place on June 27 and was hosted by CNN.

Many viewers commented that Biden appeared hoarse and lacked energy during the debate.

A Biden aide later informed Newsweek that the president had been battling a cold at the time.

Holding a handful of cash in the video, Donald Trump addressed a group of unseen individuals, asking, “How did I do with the debate the other night?”

After receiving positive feedback, with people responding that he was “fantastic” and “amazing,” Trump handed out the cash before making a scathing comment about Biden, referring to him as an “old broken down pile of crap.”

“He just quit, you know.

He’s quitting the race.

I got him out of the race,” Trump claimed, despite Biden’s firm stance that he will not step down.

Trump then suggested that Kamala Harris would take over, saying, “I think she’s going to be better,” but quickly added, “She’s so f****** bad.

She’s so pathetic.”

Trump continued by questioning Biden’s ability to handle international relations, mentioning Russian President Vladimir Putin and the President of China, whom he described as “a fierce person, a very tough guy.”

It is unclear whether Trump said “guy” or “gal,” which would change the reference to either Putin or Harris.

Trump concluded his remarks by reiterating, “They just announced he’s probably quitting,” before driving off with Barron, who remained silent throughout the clip.

The video, which appeared to be secretly recorded, has sparked widespread reactions due to its strong language and the context of the remarks.

Sitting next to his son Barron, Donald Trump claimed that President Biden is “quitting the race” and criticized Vice President Harris with derogatory terms.

The video was later shared by the Twitter account Republicans Against Trump, which highlighted Trump’s comments about Harris.

In response, the Trump-Harris campaign issued a statement condemning Trump’s comments.

“The American people have already seen low after low from Donald Trump,” the statement read.

“They have seen again and again his disrespect for women, his disdain for Black Americans, and his complete disregard for our democracy and our democratic norms.

Today, Donald Trump, while golfing and avoiding the campaign trail, hit a new rock bottom: caught on tape saying that Vice President Harris, who made history as the first Black and first Asian-American woman elected to the office, is ‘pathetic’ and ‘so f***ing bad.'”

Newsweek reached out to Donald Trump’s representative for a comment but has yet to receive a response.

However, Trump took to his Truth Social platform early Thursday morning to share the same video clip, captioning it: “NO TAX ON TIPS!”

Barron Trump, who has largely stayed out of the public eye, made headlines recently when it was announced in May that he would be a Florida delegate at the Republican National Convention in July.

This announcement marked a significant shift for the young Trump, who had just graduated from high school that month.

He was expected to join his half-siblings Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Tiffany Trump at the event.

However, the day after the announcement, Barron’s mother, Melania Trump, quickly shut down the idea of her son participating as a delegate.

Through a spokesperson, she stated, “While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments.”
