Breaking News: Swifties Say the Meal Travis Kelce Likes to Make on Date Nights Is the ‘Cutest Thing Ever’
Travis Kelce appears to have the Swiftie stamp of approval when it comes to the meal he enjoys making on date nights.
In a video that Matt James, who starred in Season 25 of The Bachelor, shared earlier this week on TikTok, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end responded to a couple of food-related questions while attending the 2024 Kelce Jam, the music festival he hosted last month.
After first identifying the “best meal” that his mom, Donna Kelce, used to cook for him—chicken soup was the clear winner in Travis’ opinion—the NFL star was asked to identify a meal he enjoys cooking himself while on a date.
The three-time Super Bowl champion paused to think about the question before recalling that he recently learned how to make “home-cooked pasta, like some actual noodles.” That new skill then became part of his answer.
“I guess just some noodles with some spicy lemon garlic and shrimp. Shrimp linguine,” he told James.
Several Swifties who watched the TikTok left comments reacting to the idea of Travis making his pasta dish while spending time with his pop star girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
“Trav and Tay making pasta at home. Cutest thing ever wowoowow,” one fan wrote. James responded to their comment directly, writing, “🍝 bigg pasta peeps!”
“You just know Tay taught him how to make pasta 🥹,” one fan gushed as another echoed their thoughts, writing, “Imagining taylor teaching him how to cook is my favorite thought rn.”
“He was proud 🥰,” another person noted.
“He’s so genuine,” one TikToker praised. “🥰 love this!”
While Travis was game to discuss home-cooked date night meals with James during the Kelce Jam, his willingness to share that specific detail from his dating life appeared to shift a few weeks later. During a press conference last week, he dodged a similar question about what he enjoys cooking when he spends time with the “Cruel Summer” singer.
“I respect that question, but I’m gonna keep that one to myself,” Travis told the reporter, adding, “I thoroughly enjoy cooking with her, so it’s something I’d just rather keep personal.”
