Taylor Swift did not appear at the Miami Grand Prix after heavy speculation that she would attend the event with boyfriend Travis Kelce and couple Patrick and Brittany Mahomes.

After heavy speculation that Taylor Swift would make an appearance at Sunday’s Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, the pop sensation never arrived in south Florida.

Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce attended the high-profile motorsports event alongside Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany, who had been pictured enjoying themselves in the paddock on Saturday. The foursome were reportedly planning to enjoy a double date in Miami.

US Weekly reported Tuesday that Swift would be catching the event in Miami, a sign of the developing friendship between Swift and Brittany. However, Swift did not attend the race, while Kelce was in attendance.

“Brittany is thrilled to be building a genuine friendship with Taylor,” USWeekly reported in October 2023. “They’ve hung out a couple of times and have grown fairly close in a short period of time. Brittany thinks Taylor is so sweet and down to earth and they get along really great.”

After Swift and Kelce had managed to carve out a rare pocket of alone time with a private retreat to Bahamas and a subsequent trip to music festival Coachella, the two power couples were spotted together on Tuesday at Mahomes’ ’15 and Mahomies Foundation Golf Classic,’ — despite Kelce’s visible adoration at the event, a body language expert exclusively told The Mirror that the couple may be ‘out of sync.’

A loaded weekend for the two couples saw Kelce head to the iconic Kentucky Derby solo, sporting a stylish blue fedora and off-white sport coat, spending time with ex-NBA star Chandler Parsons and notable pop duo the Chainsmokers. Meanwhile, the Mahomes’ enjoyed a very handsy evening at luxury Miami restaurant Sexy Fish, with a source telling Page Six that “they were seen canoodling at the table, kissing and hugging.”
