Breaking: Whoopi Goldberg rushes to defend Prince William as she tells people to ‘lighten up’

On The View, one of the Hot Topics was about the star power at Taylor Swift’s London The Eras Tour shows over the weekend. Whoopi defended Prince William from being roasted from fans at the event.

Whoopi Goldberg has words for the Taylor Swift fans roasting Prince William’s dance moves.

On Monday’s The View, Whoopi, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin talked about The Eras Tour London shows and the amount of celebrities who went to the weekend event. Whoopi mentioned that fans have been roasting Prince William for his dance moves at the concert and she didn’t understand as to why.

After the fan video of Prince William enthusiastically dancing at the show, Whoopi came to his defense and said “It’s the guy’s birthday, lighten up.” She reiterated it was his birthday again and said: “Let him do what he does.”

Ana thought Prince William being at the show and taking two of his children, George and Charlotte was “incredibly sweet,” and she loved it. But she wished he would have taken Louis because “Prince Louis is the bomb.” She explained that she loved it because “the kids have gone through so much. Their mother is dealing with cancer [and] their grandfather is dealing with cancer.”

Alyssa Farah continued the conversation after a quick Tom Cruise pivot of him being at the show and not knowing any of the words. She exclaimed, “go off future king” and that she “wasn’t expected big moves out of William.”
