Chiefs ‘expect Rashee Rice to be suspended for at least half a season’, claims NFL insider with wide receiver facing eight charges after 119mph Dallas car crash
The Kansas City Chiefs are said to be bracing themselves to be without star wide receiver Rashee Rice for a lengthy spell next season.
Rice, 24, surrendered to police last month after he and another driver of a speeding sports car allegedly caused a crash involving a half-dozen vehicles on a Dallas highway in March.
The Super Bowl winner is facing one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and six counts of collision involving injury.
But Rice is also expected to face disciplinary action from the NFL with the wideout set to be suspended by the league, according to NFL insider James Palmer.
The reigning Super Bowl champions are expecting Rice to be suspended for ‘half a season at least’, the reporter claimed during an appearance on retired receiver Steve Smith’s podcast, Agent 89 Breakdown show.
