Exclusive:Danica Patrick Sends Message to Anyone Who is ‘Triggered’ By Her Politics
Former IndyCar driver Danica Patrick recently discussed various topics, including her political views, on the Tucker Carlson Network.
During the interview, she revealed she faced significant online backlash for attending a Turning Point USA event, which many of her followers mistakenly believed was a Donald Trump rally.
“I was super surprised by how it went when I went to the Turning Point event and talked about loving my country and posting these pictures,” Patrick explained, according to the Daily Caller. “I went with my sister, and it was just a fun few days. I was just really surprised that people could be so angry about it — and I didn’t even make a stance. I think everybody thinks it’s basically a Trump rally.”
Patrick also commented on the strong reactions people have when Trump’s name is mentioned on social media.
She believes that politics, like religion, forms a fundamental part of our lives and identities. “These are foundational to our reality, and what we’ve built our life on. And when you pull one of those out from the foundation — this is my opinion — but I think that what happens is there is an implied subconscious understanding that, when you pull out one of those building blocks, that it’s going to be a snowball effect for the rest of your life. Like, if you pull out one of those foundational elements, what else isn’t true?” she said.
Patrick also faced criticism for posting a photo with Trump at the Miami Grand Prix.
Why are people suddenly acting so surprised about Danica being a trump loving, antivax, conspiracy loving nutjob? I’ve been banging that drum for years, as have others. https://t.co/Wxtg234ODV

Despite the backlash, based on her comments during the interview, it appears Patrick has no intention of silencing her opinions on politics in the future.
