Exclusive;Jane Slater Has 3 Words For Harrison Butker As She Lets The Chiefs’ Kicker Know How She Feels About His Controversial “Homemaker” Comments

NFL Network reporter Jane Slater had a message for Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker following his controversial speech at a Kansas college on Saturday.

Harrison Butker gave a commencement speech at Benedictine College, a private college in Atchison, Kansas. The three-time Super Bowl champion made homophobic, antisemitic and misogynistic comments, even telling women at the graduation ceremony to be “homemakers”, via US Weekly:

“For the ladies present today, congratulations on an amazing accomplishment. You should be proud of all that you have achieved to this point in your young lives. I want to speak directly to you briefly because I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you…

How many of you are sitting here now, about to cross this stage, and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career? Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.”

Slater took to X/Twitter to respond to Butker’s comments with a couple of posts:

My favorite part of this whole Butker is entitled to his opinion argument? Others aren’t on different viewpoints or political stances that don’t align with yours. You all see the hypocrisy right? I believe in freedom of speech and disagree with his linear take. Both can exist

Butker has received immense backlash over his comments. There is an online petition (currently over 61,000 signatures) for the Chiefs to “dismiss” the veteran kicker over the comments that were made.

As of midnight on Thursday, the Chiefs have not addressed Butker’s comments.
