Exclusive:Tori Spelling Suspects She’s Not on ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ for Unsettling Reason
While many people know Tori Spelling for her work in the fictional TV show Beverly Hills, 90210, the actress also has connections to the reality series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, as she’s friends with a lot of the cast, yet she’s never been asked to join the show. Now, Spelling is speculating what the real reason for this might be.
Spelling opened up about the topic on the April 19 episode of her podcast, misSPELLING, after a fan reportedly asked her why she isn’t on the RHOBH during a recent convention.
“Once I asked Andy Cohen, who I love and have known forever, been on his show many times,” she said, as Cohen is an executive producer on the show. He reportedly told Spelling that fans were asking him this question as well, but he didn’t have an answer for her. “He was like, ‘Eh, I don’t know. You and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? I can’t see it.'”
Despite Cohen’s unclear answer, Spelling shared her honest opinion on the situation, guessing that the real reason she wasn’t on the show might be a little different: “What I wanted to say is, ‘Uh, is it ’cause I’m broke? Let’s be real.
The actress has dealt with economic struggles over the years, and on an earlier episode of her podcast, she admitted, “I’m not good with money. I suck with money. I didn’t even know how to write a check until I was in my 40s.” Looking back now, Spelling thinks this might’ve been a big factor in her chances of joining RHOBH.
With any luck, Cohen and the franchise will reconsider, as fans seem to like the idea of Spelling as a cast member. One person even wrote in the comments on misSPELLING’s Instagram account, “If you were on, i would start watching it again.”
Right now, the RHOBH cast members include Kyle Richards, Erika Girardi, Dorit Kemsley, and Garcelle Beauvais, among others.
