Exclusive:Travis Kelce reaction to brother Jason’s Taylor Swift marriage hint says it all
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift may be heading for a Hollywood ending after a telling hint from brother Jason on the “New Heights” podcast.
In a discussion detailing which Adam Sandler each brother most resembled, Kelce said that his older sibling was most similar to “either Bobby Boucher or ‘The Wedding Singer.’” Jason replied with a raised eyebrow and said, “I was gonna go ‘Wedding Singer’ maybe for you,” prompting hysterical laughter from Travis and a deadpanned stare from the former Eagles center.
Kelce and Swift approach a first anniversary in one of the world’s most publicized celebrity relationships. The seeds of the couple also sprouted from the “New Heights” podcast, as the Chiefs tight end publicized his attempt at offering Swift a friendship bracelet on her Eras Tour in July during a viral segment.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Kelce said. “So I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her. She doesn’t meet anybody, or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal.”
The rumor mill churned for the following three months before Swift made her debut appearance at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium, and the pair confirmed their romance in October 2023, holding hands as they left an afterparty together. Their relationship has evidently gone from strength to strength, as a reportedly healthy private dynamic laid the foundation for Kelce to win the Chiefs’ third Super Bowl in five seasons and Swift to continue the most lucrative tour in global music history.
Jason and his wife Kylie have also enjoyed an eventful stretch in their much longer-lasting relationship. The pair of fervent Eagles fans, Kylie was raised in the inner Philadelphia suburbs and is a passionate Philadelphia sports fan — tied the knot in 2018 and were vacationing in the New Jersey shore town of Margate City when a reportedly demanded a picture with Kylie’s. After she was declined, with Kylie stating that the couple was on a date, the woman reportedly wouldn’t take no for an answer and the two exchanged barbs.
“On behalf of the City of Margate, I’d like to formally apologize to Jason & Kylie Kelce for the experience they had in Margate City over the holiday weekend,” Margate City Mayor Michael Collins wrote on Facebook on Wednesday. “As a father with young children, I know as well as anyone the importance of a date night with your wife and would like to offer a redo date night with dinner on me.”
