Tom Brady Points Out Importance of Getting Top Playmakers Involved Early in NFL Game
Even after retiring from the league, former New England Patriots star Tom Brady remained sharp as ever when it comes to the sport. Case in point, his tale on the importance of having the top playmakers involved early in NFL games.
Brady enjoyed an unparalleled 23-year NFL career, cementing his status as one of the greatest players in league history. Selected in the 6th round by the New England Patriots in 2000, Brady went on to lead the team to unprecedented success, winning 17 division titles, 13 AFC Championship games, and six Super Bowl championships – the most by any player.
His individual accolades are equally impressive, including seven Super Bowl titles, five Super Bowl MVPs, and numerous regular season and playoff records for passing yards, attempts, and touchdowns. In 2020, he added a 7th championship by leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl victory.
In 2023, Brady announced his retirement, and the Patriots immediately began planning a homecoming celebration. In a special Week 1 halftime ceremony, team owner Robert Kraft waived the waiting period and directly inducted Brady into the Patriots Hall of Fame, with his jersey number 12 also being retired. A year later, the state of Massachusetts declared “Tom Brady Day” as the Patriots held a 3-hour event to honor the legendary quarterback’s indelible legacy.
