Travis Kelce Agrees with Podcast Hosts Who Say His Softball Win Can’t Compare to Taylor Swift’s Success

Kelce quoted host Mike Golic Jr. who jokingly said Kelce would come home and tell Swift he’s, “Feeling pretty good about it, babe”

Travis Kelce couldn’t help but laugh when a podcast poked fun at his accomplishments compared to those of his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

After Kelce, 34, was crowned the champion at David Njoku’s Celebrity Softball charity game in Eastlake, Ohio, on Saturday, June 8, the hosts of sports talk show GoJo and Golic jokingly said the NFL star’s home runs hardly compare to his girlfriend’s economy-boosting world tour.

“Travis Kelce is a legitimate athlete that could have probably had success in a bunch of different sports at a high level,” Mike Golic Jr. said during the show, before wondering “how difficult it is to register on the Richter scale in the house that he’s now a part of with Taylor Swift.”

It’s like, ‘Well babe, what did you do this weekend?,’ ” Golic said, mimicking a conversation between Swift and Kelce. Golic suggested that Swift’s weekend rundown would include having “stimulated the global economy” and “enriched the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.”

For Kelce, Golic joked that his recap would be, “‘I cracked 11 dingers in a celebrity softball game. Feeling pretty good about this one, babe.’ ”

After the clip of Golic’s segment was shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), Kelce joined in on the joke.

The Chiefs tight end replied with five laughing emojis and wrote, “Love listening to these guys!” and specifically approved of the line, “Feeling pretty good about it, babe.

Kelce’s big home run derby win was documented on Instagram, on baseball team Lake County Captains’ account. In another video, he could be seen greeting fans at the celebrity softball game, and was all smiles as he made his entrance onto the field, wearing a softball jersey with his name on the back.

Swift, meanwhile, concluded her three-night run in Edinburgh, Scotland on the Eras Tour on Sunday, June 9. On June 13, she’ll play her 100th show and the first of three nights in Liverpool.

Kelce recently opened up about his high-profile relationship during an interview with ABC’s Good Morning America on June 6. “When you have good family and friends around you, it makes that aspect in life that much easier,” Kelce told GMA.

“I’ve always been a very grounded guy,” he said. “It might not come off like that when I’m playing football, but off the field, I just want to be a genuine person. I try not to get too far down the road because you just never know when opportunities are going to present themselves.”
